Nature-Based Rehabilitation Medicine Task Force
Mission-To promote and disseminate knowledge and information on the use of nature-based therapies and biophilic design in rehabilitation practice through conference presentations, workshops, and publications.
Goals/Objectives-
- Explore the utilization of biophilic theory and design in rehabilitative practice
- Promote the use of nature-based therapies and horticultural therapy to achieve patient and organizational goals in rehabilitative settings
- Disseminate evidence-informed and evidence-based knowledge and practice guidelines for nature-based therapies
- Develop guidelines for clinical practice of horticultural therapy based on scientific principles/knowledge and empirical evidence
- Engage and collaborate with other ACRM communities to promote the usefulness of Nature-based therapies in rehabilitation
